Susanne is a freelance facilitator and community engagement practitioner based in Galicia and Scotland, focusing on place, participation, and systems change. With a Sociology background, she designs participatory processes to help communities and organizations shape spaces rooted in lived experience. Her work, driven by the belief that meaningful change comes through connecting people, place, and systems, explores designing urban and rural spaces to be life-supporting and regenerative.
Combining hands-on delivery with a systems focus, she helps surface patterns and imagine alternative futures inspired by regenerative and post-growth thinking to move beyond extractive models. She collaborates with Scotland’s Centre for Innovation (The Melting Pot) and The Promise Scotland, supporting Care-Experienced young people. Susanne founded The Grove, a mobile community garden in Edinburgh, over 10 years ago and is still active. Matrescence has deepened her focus on regenerative practices.
