A leader in nature-positive design, Kirstin has 25 years of experience engaging teams to create regenerative, resilient places where all communities thrive, human and non-human alike. Kirstin founded Bio Studio in 2020 to offer innovative consulting focused on the three bios of regenerative design: biomimicry, biodiversity and biophilia. Bio Studio was named California’s Best Urban Ecology Consultancy in 2023.
Kirstin holds degrees in Environmental Studies, Building Science and Ecological Restoration and her accreditations include LEED AP, LFA, WELL AP, Envision SP, Green Roof Professional and Certified Energy Manager. She is a Board Member at Nature in the City, leads the Living Future California Member Community and is proud to have received the Living Future Hero Award in 2021. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys tending her flock of hens, kayaking and playing music with her family
