Bio.

Katharina is an ecologist and sustainability strategist who bridges the gap between ecological theory and practical implementation. With a PhD in Environmental Science, she brings expertise in ecosystem services, urban resilience, and nature-based solutions, helping projects integrate the needs of both people and the planet.

Her approach is grounded in ecological understanding, creative problem-solving, and systems thinking to support communities, design teams, and developers in embedding regenerative principles into the built environment. Katharina’s experience spans quantitative ecological research, workshop facilitation, co-creation and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, fostering dialogue between disciplines to co-create visions for healthy, thriving ecosystems. She develops project-specific strategy, co-designs sustainable pathways, and supports monitoring of generated benefits for the future we are building. Her work inspires a shift from sustainability to regeneration to restore the balance between human systems and ecosystems.

She believes in creating spaces and processes where listening, learning, and action come together, and where buildings, cities, and landscapes are designed to care for all life.
