Javier “Javi” Gras, a Civil Engineer with an MSc in Structures from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a second Masters in Structure Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology of Chicago, has focused his career on international transportation infrastructure. As Structures Design Manager for multi-billion Euro projects, he introduced innovative, regenerative practices at Ferrovial Construction (FC).
This led to a collaboration with FC’s Innovation Department and becoming a Bio-Leadership Fellow in April 2021. He now works part-time as Relationships and Impact Lead for The Bio-Leadership Project, fostering sustainable and regenerative organizations and curating their business impact. Javi also facilitates nature-based leadership programs and retreats, helping individuals and teams reconnect with nature to develop resilience, connection, adaptability, systemic awareness, and care.
Javi acknowledges the complicity of the construction industry in the destruction of our plantery life systems and is determined to work on reversing the negative effects of our professions.
