Bio.

Susanne is a freelance facilitator and community engagement practitioner based in Galicia and Scotland, focusing on place, participation, and systems change. With a background in sociology, she designs participatory processes to help communities and organizations shape spaces rooted in lived experience. Her work, driven by the belief that meaningful change comes from connecting people, place, and systems, explores ways to design urban and rural spaces that are life-supporting and regenerative.

By combining hands-on delivery with a systems-based approach, she helps identify patterns and envision alternative futures inspired by regenerative and post-growth thinking to move beyond extractive models. She collaborates with Scotland’s Center for Innovation (The Melting Pot) and The Promise Scotland, supporting young people with care experience. Susanne founded The Grove, a mobile community garden in Edinburgh, over 10 years ago and remains active there. Matrescence has deepened her focus on regenerative practices.
